This medium steamed Sencha is made with the leaves from 100 year old Zairai ( non-cultivar) bushes, which were picked 3-5 days after the first flush harvest has begun. This tea has a depth to its taste. This is how Sencha used to taste like according to my grandmother.
About Sencha Variety
Sencha, the most commonly drunk green tea in Japan was first produced in Uji (the outskirts of Kyoto) in the 18thCentury and is now produced in many parts of the country. First flush tea, harvested from late April through mid-May, is considered the best of its kind. Sencha has the perfect balance of briskness and sweetness.

All shipments are sent via UPS Ground, unless otherwise instructed. For larger shipments of 10 cases / 250 kg, we will arrange the shipment directly to you from Japan.
